The Extra: Deco Doors

When I began writing The Extra, a silver screen Hollywood murder mystery, I didn’t know I’d want to include line drawings, but the ideas started showing up, first without an invitation, and then to a warm welcome. Here are the doors to Camillo’s Fine Bar and Grille on Sunset Avenue, where stars go to see and be seen. Frankie Ray, schoolteacher turned amateur actress and sleuth, attends disguised and acting her head off, of course, to save her life.
