I love black and white illustrations. I revere classic picture books like “Make Way for Ducklings”, “The Little House” and “Ferdinand the Bull” – all in black and white. I love colour, too, but I think black and white illustrations take readers to entirely different worlds.
This one is a detail from “Dragon Rock”, a project Sylvia Stopforth and I are working on.
FYI Flash Fiction writers, we are running a Flash Fiction Contest now, the Hummingbird award. Check it out at http://pulpliterature.com/contests/
